Do I need an appointment?
Yes! We schedule appointments to better assist you in your search for the perfect gown. Because your bridal gown purchase is a once in a lifetime event, you deserve the time and attention of a professional consultant and a relaxing experience. Our salon is quite intimate, so we do book in advance. We do take walk-ins, but first come, first served. However, unless there is an opening, we will need to schedule you an appointment to view our gowns and to try on. Our appointments are scheduled during business hours unless other arrangements are made in advance. To schedule an appointment time that works best for you, please contact us by phone, 541-864-9391. We appreciate your consideration by not asking to "look around" while we are with another bride, but will come back at the time suggested by the consultant.
Bridesmaids with orders in progress will need an appointment, then we can time it right between the bridal appointments. We don't want your maids or Moms to have to wait or come back. A special appointment should be made to get the initial bridesmaid decisions accomplished, as we want to be able to answer any questions you and your wedding party may have about your order and give you our best personal attention.
How many people should I bring to my appointment?
Trying on wedding gowns can be intimidating, especially if you have opinionated guests. Very often, we find friends focusing on what they like, not what the bride likes. They often disregard your budget, your wedding location and may not even know what your groom prefers. During your initial visit, we suggest that you bring your Mom, your sister or a close friend. We have limited space, so we must ask that you bring only 3-4 guests with you.
Let your professional stylist help you select styles that look great on your figure and that fit your sense of style and budget.
We recommend that you bring the one person who is key in helping you choose your wedding gown. Since we are a small intimate boutique, we are not able to accommodate large groups, our maximum is four guests, and generally we find that too many people make it hard for you to decide on what gown YOU love. If you find a gown that you want to bring in a another person to see, we are happy to help you with as many appointments as needed to make this very important decision.
How do I make an appointment?

Can I bring children to my appointment?
Although we love children, they shouldn't come with you unless they are being fitted for their attire. Child safety is our priority. At this time, our bridal shop is intimate and not intended for children. We do ask you to make other arrangements for them during your appointment time. Please call to reschedule your appointment if childcare issues arise.
Do you allow picture taking during our appointments?
Yes, you may take photos of our exclusive gowns.
What should I bring to my appointment?
We have strapless bras, bridal shoes, and petticoats (slips) for you to try on with the gowns. Most of our higher quality gowns actually have the bustier (bra) and petticoats built in, so you don't need all those extras. Other things you may want to bring include photos of the style of gown you are most interested in and another person to help you decide. It is important to bring someone whose opinion you value, so you can decide what looks best on you.
What is the average price of a bridal gown at Something Blue?
Our gowns range from $200-$1000. Most of our gowns are under $800.
Bridesmaid dresses are between $79 and $315, with quantity discounts available.
Do you have recommendations for alterations?
Yes we do. We are happy to refer you to a professional seamstresses with extensive experience altering wedding gowns. You will most likely need at least three fittings. The alteration fee is determined by the seamstress, evaluated on a case by case basis, and not included in the gown purchase price. March through September find the seamstresses fairly busy, so please leave at least 6-8 weeks for alterations. Please keep in mind that most gowns will need some alterations to fit properly.
How often do you get new gowns?
We receive new gowns every couple weeks. Gowns are ordered throughout the year to ensure that we have the most current collection of gowns in the area. You are sure to be surprised by the diversity of our selections, as well as the prices. We have gowns from high end designers that are usually only seen in the major cities such as New York, Chicago or San Francisco, but at Klamath Falls prices.
How do I place orders for out of town bridesmaids?
Most bridal parties have at least one attendant out of town. We make ordering for these attendants simple and easy. To order, simply have them get measured in their hometown and call us. We will keep you advised of order status.
My plan is to lose weight before my wedding. Should I purchase a smaller sized gown than I presently wear?
This is not recommended. A gown is always easier to be taken in, than to be let out. Generally, alterations cannot increase the size of a gown, they can, however, make a slightly loose gown fit perfectly.
Do you carry alternative sizes?
Our gowns, available for all brides to try on, range in size from 6-14, with most between 10-12. We do occasionally get sizes 16 through 20, but these sell very quickly. Bridal sizes do typically run slightly smaller than standard sizes, so please keep this in mind when selecting a size. Alterations can be done on stock dresses to make them fit you.
Do you have parking?
We share the parking lot with Klamath Audiology, which is next to our building.
